astor piazzolla -- tango en hi-fi

hi-fi might be a bit of a stretch for this one on music hall records, but a little crispyness aside another typically great effort from astor. i like the cover too.
elvino vardaro plays violin, jaime gosis plays piano, jose bragato plays mean cello, juan vasallo bass and jorge sobral on the voice.

The best recordings ever by Astor Piazzolla. I heard this LP in Buenos Aires in the late 1950's and its music accompanied me all my life. I been living abroad for more than forty years and these recordings by Piazzolla always take me to the beloved Buenos Aires of my youth....I've seen Piazzolla, Gossis and Vardaro many times playing live. They'll never be repeated.
